Orange F.O.O.D WEEK / Orange Accommodation

It is once again time for the Orange food week!

This year it will be held from 31st March until 9th April. The objective of this festival is to promote the diverse and exceptional regional produce from Orange and surrounding districts. There are several signature events which will appeal to local residents as well as visitors. These will be hosted by local restaurants, wineries and café’s. It is one of those not to be missed events and will leave you grasping for more! The festival will kick off with the Night Market on 31st March. During this event there will be more than 50 stalls representing local chefs, cooks, caterers and winemakers. Communal dining tables and festive music will make this a night to remember.

During the run of the festival, you can also meet volunteers, various producers and chefs at F.O.O.D. HQ and taste some of their specialities, as well as purchase products directly from them. One of the highlights of this festival, is the 100 Mile Dinner event. It will showcase food from Molong, Mudgee, Cowra, Orange and several of the other local districts. Another exciting event is the Food Train which will have you starting with a light breakfast on board, with explanations from local producers on their methods for getting food from paddock to plate. This event will include a fine dining experience, as well as the FORAGE event on Saturday.

There will also be exciting produce markets that will provide cooking demos by some of Orange’s up-and-coming young chefs. Local produce will be up for sale to take home and to be enjoyed at your leisure.
